Is 8 weeks the same as two months?

No. Eight weeks is exactly 56 days. Calendar months range from 28 to 31 days, so “two months from today” can land on a different date. Use weeks for a seven-day interval and month arithmetic for a calendar-month interval.

Why does the weekday stay the same?

A full week is seven days, so adding or subtracting any whole number of weeks returns the same weekday. Weekends and holidays remain part of the count. A daylight-saving clock change can alter elapsed hours, but it does not change the calendar date calculation.

Choosing the time at the end of the count

A whole-week result is a date, while a countdown also needs a time of day. The default is the start of that date at 12:00 AM in your device’s time zone. Choose noon, the end of the day, or enter your own local target time. The live timer measures actual seconds remaining, including any daylight-saving clock change along the way.

Use Full screen countdown to show only the timer on a TV or larger display. Move the pointer, touch the screen, or press a key to briefly reveal the target and Exit full screen button. You can also press Escape to return to the calculator.
