Does today count as day one?

No. For “30 days from today,” today is day zero. Tomorrow is day one, and the target is 30 midnights later. Choosing zero returns the start date. Use the Before option to count the same distance backward.

Are weekends and holidays included?

Yes. This calculator adds calendar days, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It does not calculate business days or adjust a deadline to the next working day. The result shows the weekday so you can see where it lands.

Choosing a countdown time

The calendar result names a date. The countdown needs a clock time too, so it starts at 12:00 AM on that date unless you choose noon, the end of the day, or your own time. It counts actual seconds from your current local clock; daylight-saving changes can make that different from multiplying the calendar-day count by 24 hours.

Use Full screen countdown to show only the timer on a TV or larger display. Move the pointer, touch the screen, or press a key to briefly reveal the target and Exit full screen button. You can also press Escape to return to the calculator.
